The banana price decreased by 11% last week and traded on R6.63 per kilogram or R119 per 18kg box with volumes decreasing by 11% week on week. We expect this price to stay in a downward trend during June and July with more volumes expected.

The latest apple price stayed sideways on R8.50 last week while the latest pear price increased to R8.91 per kilogram. Both of these prices can trend slightly downwards over the short term.

The Orange price decreased by 5% to R4.89 the past week and we are expecting volumes to stay on a higher level at least until August which can keep the price around the R5 mark until then.

The Avo price decreased by 2% to R13.07 per kilogram last week while Fuertes traded lower on R15.90, Hass on R9.99 and Pinkertons on R12.12. We are still expecting Avo prices to increase during June, but the average price will likely remain below the R15 mark.

The average table grape price increased to R61.39 with volumes decreasing by about 46% week on week. During June and July it is likely that this price can trend even higher. The latest pineapple traded 6% higher on R12.39 while the lemon price decreased to R3.90 per kilogram due to higher volumes.
