The banana price increased to R12.83 per kilogram and is still trading significantly higher than a year ago with volumes over the last 3 months almost halve that of last year. This can keep prices on a higher level until the end of the year.
Apple prices increased to R13.50 while pear prices increased to R14.89 per kilogram. I however feel that Apple prices can stay on these price levels over the next 4 weeks while pear prices can decrease slightly.
The orange price broke through its upper resistance and increased to R10.98 per kilogram due to volumes decreasing by 10% the past week. This price is likely to continue in its upward trend until middle February next year. The avo price also continued to gain support and increased to R23.10 per kilogram with volumes likely to decrease over the next few months which can support this price from the start of next year. Table grape prices decreased to R65.04 per kilogram with local production starting to pick up, which will force these prices even lower over the coming months. The pineapple pricealso decreased and is now trading on R15.50 per kilogram.
